Jeanette gold mine – the future

The Khaki Shale issue: Re-examination of the borehole cores in Taung's possession initially indicated that the quartzite beam overlying the Basal Reef conglomerate could be sufficiently thick and competent to limit any dilution of mined ore or collapses of incompetent shale into the workings. But we have chosen not to pursue this so called undercutting method but, rather, turn a challenge into an opportunity.
